Day 1 - Half-day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex which contains the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the nation's founder, the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. The complex also comprises the One-Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation Hanoi, the temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university. Continuation to the Lake of the West and Tran Quoc pagoda. Lunch and drive to Halong Bay, a World Heritage site 175 km (three hours) to the east of the capital. On the way we stop at a potters village where delightful ceramic objects are made. Overnight in Halong.

Day 2 - Morning cruise on a private junk on the emerald green water of Halong Bay, in a picturesque scenery where some 3,000 limestone islands rise from the clear and emerald water and point to the sky. Along the way we will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. Seafood lunch on board.

Day 3 - After breakfast, transfer to Hai Phong Harbor City for short city tour of Hang Kenh Commune and Du Hang Pagoda with its beautiful wood carving from 17 century. Drive back to Hanoi and check-in at the hotel.
